i'm sure many of you are aware of the jwtalk site, a message board which has yet to succumb to apostasy (give it time).. some of the forums there are visible to the public, and i've seen some crazy stuff.

here is a sampling:.

gb, PLEASE, PLEASE UP THE ORGANIZATIONAL HARSHNESS IN 2018

sometimes i have expressed a longing for jw organization to tone down its rhetoric and become, well, nicer and more loving.

i have not been alone in my hope.

some posters have even said that if a wave of kindness washed over jw organization and, say, the shunning doctrine was modified (e.g., left up to the individual's conscience without fear of retribution from elders), they'd go back.

Steve2, I fully expect your plea to be answered over the coming months. The WTBTS's money-grabbing & doctrine changing chariot has gradually been accelerating over the past few years and must now be in top gear - especially their "Master plan" of merging and consolidating congregations.

The coup de grâce (a deathblow administered to end the suffering of one mortally wounded) for many JW's will be when their Kingdom Hall gets sold from right under their feet. The media & authorities will help too!

Game or sport, doesn't alter the fact that he is a genius at it. I see people who are great or fantastic to watch at their sport and some can even be brilliant at times, but O'Sullivan's abilities on a snooker table are on a totally different level from every snooker player who's ever lived. He's not one in a million - he's one in billions.

All of my life I've bee privileged to see great sportsmen/women, but never one whom I would describe as a genius - until Ronnie O'Sullivan appeared. I was delighted to hear Stephen Hendry express the same sentiments I've felt for several years. Well done to him, and thanks and praise to Ronnie O'Sullivan for his incredible playing skills.

Why do we speak out once we learn TTATT?? Because the Society TRAINED us to do so!

i was just thinking about how the gb / society hates it when people like us dare to speak up or mention anything negative about the society.. they try and demean us, or colour witnesses view of anyone who leaves - especially if we speak up!

we know the sort of rhetoric they have been spewing forth over the last few years.. but the gb needs to face the fact that we speak out because we have been trained to do so by them!

they have used scriptural passages to encourage us repeatedly to "preach with boldness"(acts 4:29-31 eph 6:19).

It's a fact - J.W.'s are primed by the cult not to prolong any conversations with anyone who wants to discuss the Bible - only if they want to study WT literature.

In my experience, the vast majority of J.W.'s themselves don't study scriptures. They rely on their Warwick spoon-feeding.

Is the name Jehovah`s Witnesses a misnomer ?

i ask this because from what i read on this board lately is that they jw`s seem to be very reluctant to engage in conversation with anybody nowadays and are only interested in placing literature at carts.. and if anyone brings up questions in their d2d work that challenge them ( like the arc ) they will promptly excuse themselves and move on.

also didn`t jesus say "this good news of the kingdom would be preached in all the inhabited earth " for a witness ?.

when was the last time you heard a jw speak about "the good news of the kingdom" ?

Ask any J.W. to counter all of these scriptures with just one verse which says Christians must witness for "Jehovah."

The embarrassing silence, followed by a feeble non-scriptural "explanation" will say it all.

The New JWdom - Vew of Older Publications? (and other related questions)

i feel that there aren’t many of that type anymore, but there have to be some – mostly old-timers.

how do they study?.

when i was active, i collected all the old publications i could find.

The alleged "faithful slave" wasn't being very discreet when they "recommended" to their followers that only WTBTS ~~propaganda~~ publications from the year 2000 onwards be used for personal study/research - because of all the "new lights."

Any JW's who ignore this "advice" and who discuss "old lights," will be seen as not keeping up with the org's chariot.

“...in the name of our Lord Jesus” explanation please?

i am looking for someone to please clear this up.

there are scriptures like in the 1 corinthians chapter 5 that refer to jesus as “our lord jesus”.

the lord is jehovah, why does that scripture in 1 corinthians refer to the lord as jesus?

It's interesting to note that before he was born and after he died, the Bible informs its readers that Jesus actually has a God and Father in heaven.

Micah 5:4 - “And he will certainly stand and do shepherding in the strength of Jehovah, in the superiority of the name of Jehovah HIS GOD."

John 20:17 - Jesus said to her: “......But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to MY Father and YOUR Father and to MY God and YOUR God.’

Romans 15:6 - That with one accord YOU may with one mouth glorify the GOD and FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:3 - Blessed be the GOD and FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ...................

2 Corinthians 11:31 - The GOD and FATHER of the Lord Jesus...."

Ephesians 1:3 - "Blessed be the GOD and FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ..."

Hebrews 1:9 - "You loved righteousness, and you hated lawlessness. That is why God, YOUR GOD, anointed you...”

1 Peter 1:3 - Blessed be the GOD and FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ.............................

Revelation 1:6 - And he made us to be a kingdom, priests to his GOD and FATHER.......................

Revelation 3:2 - "....for I have not found your deeds fully performed before MY GOD."

Revelation 3:12 - “The one that conquers - I will make him a pillar in the temple of MY God, and he will by no means go out [from it] anymore, and I will write upon him the name of MY God and the name of the city of MY God, the new Jerusalem which descends out of heaven from MY God...."

How does this scenario work out if Jesus is God Almighty himself? How can God in heaven have a God in heaven?

Also, if the Athanasian creed regarding the trinity is true - when it says that the Father, son, and holy ghost are co-equal, co-eternal, and none has superiority over the other - then 1 Corinthians 15:27,28 must be a patent lie when it says that Jesus will subject himself to his Father.

The New English Bible says that Jesus will be subordinate to the Father.

The language used by the Catholic Encyclopaedia to summarise the trinity dogma says it all:

“Our Lord's words, Matthew 11:27, "No one knoweth the Son, but the Father," seem to declare expressly that the plurality of Persons in the Godhead is a truth entirely beyond the scope of any created intellect.”
